Just in time for the Bank Holiday Weekend the new additions to the Luke 1977 collection can be worn whether we have sunshire or a typical British Bank Holiday. Firstly we have a selection of two O'Byrne Tee Shirts with the classic Luke 1977 embroidered lion logo to the shoulder accompanied with contrasting taped detail below. The London Boys Arrive In Barbour Jackets

The Archives of Adidas are a rich source for re-issue and contemporary re-interpretations. Fans of Adidas Originals have their own favourites which are greeted like an old friend not seen for some years and then re-issued. There are two featured reissued styles in the new Adidas Originals collection at Henri Beene Fashion Style and Design Store. The first an Archive Football Track Jacket, this Adidas Originals Jacket is a full zip through style with a split of solid contrast colours to the shoulders and lower body. The Sleeves feature the Adidas Originals Three Stripes with additional Adidas recognition featured to the chest via an Adidas script badge. The Adidas Gazelle is a reoccuring visitor since its 1968 debut. This Adidas Gazelle OG Black and White is a Black Suede version with three white stripes as a contrast. The launch of autumn winter 2009 saw the unparalled success of the first collaboration between Tokihito Yoshida the Japanese Designer and Barbour the renowned outerwear company. The Beacon Heritage Range is a premium range for men that is a limited edition collection which sits as a capsual outside of the main Barbour ranges. The Beacon Heritage range is noted for its intense attention to detail.

Money Clothing

The designers of Money Clothing Nick Cordell and Melvyn De Villiers formed their partnership in 2003 with their first Money Clothing collection being produced in 2004. Whilst their intention was not to produce a clothing brand that was recognised by a logo as with most designer mens fashion but rather by the clothes themselves, Money Clothing is recognised by their Ape Logo. Although this is the case with Money Clothing the content of their clothes retains their original concept, that of recognition by design.

Within Money Clothing the original styles of Money Clothing polo shirts and Money Clothing tee shirts are central to the collections with continual updates in terms of colour changes and design details with new Money Clothing design styles continually introduced into every category of the collection. The introduction of Money Clothing jeans being one of the most desired new products with the Ape logo clearly visible on the back pocket of the Money jeans.

Not following the path trodden by many designers new design twists are applied to the money clothes an example being the use of bank notes sealed onto the back of the Money Jeans, this twist of design illustrates the designers original desire to have their clothes recognised by design. Two other key areas to the Money Clothing range are the Money Clothing Jacket and the Money Clothing sweatshirt, these two styles are now worn as medium weight garments all year round.

In the case of the Money Clothing jacket they are usually of the shorter track style with zip out hoods and adjustable waste draw cord worn in the same style as a spots track jacket. The Money Clothing sweatshirt has influences of vintage sports wear with often the choice of classic colours or more vibrant options, throughout the collection the permutations of choice are there to allow the wearer of Money Clothing to make an evolving choice.

Dr Denim Chino -Dr Denim Donk Chino


The Chino pant whilst having its origins in military use is once again fashion news.Dr Denim jeans donk chino, a translation in fashion terms of the American Classic
Chino cloth is a form of cotton twill, used to make British military uniforms in the 1800's. The term Chino is a translation from the Spanish word China - Chino where the original Chino pants were made. The American servicemen wore the chino as part of their uniform in the early 1900's during their military operations in the Philippines, the Spanish and American War. Combined factors made the chino grow in popularity in America, the returning servicemen already wore them, the low cost and the comfort factor of this work pant.
The Dr Denim donk chino retains the twill cotton fabric with two side pockets and two back pockets, the waist button has the Dr Denim jeans brand stamp. Based on the original chino which had the pleats removed and showed a taper toward the ankle width to reduce the amount of cloth used during the manufacturing period of the Second World War the Dr Denim jeans chino is a slimmer form of chino with a  flat front. As with most products which have a strong design content and fashion clothing brands in particular being an example of this the designers name is the brand. Whilst this is the case in Denham jeans Jason Denham follows a route which is more a blend of engineering and traditional tailoring than that of a fashion designer. Tradition is central to the Denham jeans and Denham jeans clothing in terms of style and fabrics with the same tailoring process applied to the making of a pair of Denham jeans. The art of the pattern cutter is central in establishing the basis of a core denim range, understanding the denim cloth and its characteristics are essential, Denham Jeans the Jeansmaker has that understanding. This understanding can be seen in the cuts of both the Denham jeans and the Denham chino, the Denham chino a tailored workwear trouser. Throughout the Denham jeans collection constant reference is there to the tailor, the tailors scissors has become the brands visual identity with the Denham jeans showing the scissors on the back of each pair of Denham jeans. As a reference point the scissors are available as a printed image on the Denham jeans branded tee shirt. Styles of denims from Denham jeans have links with tradition with the names of styles, the Denham Cutter jean, Denham Grade jean and the Denham Dart jean. The iconic western jean is at the root of all jeans, Denham jeans takes these basic elements through a crafted design process to deliver a range of Denham jeans which sit subtly within clothing, Denham jeans are noticed because they are a Denham jean.  Whilst tradition is continually referenced, styles are developed and experimented with to allow the Denham jeans to evolve, with this process tradition is used to advance future Denham jeans.

Retrieved from the Barbour Jacket archives for the autumn winter 2010 Barbour clothing collection is the Barbour Ursula Jacket. The Barbour Ursula Jacket had its design based on an original Barbour jacket for the motorcycle an all in one suit, eventually being split to become a two piece suit a Barbour jacket and trouser. The Barbour Ursula Jacket gained its name from a U-class Royal Navy submarine - Ursula. The crew of the submarine were well aware of the benefits that a Barbour jacket with wax properties gave in terms of protection against the elements as many of the crew were motorcyclists and found the Barbour Jacket ideal for motorcyclists in bad weather. Submarine Commander Captain George Phillips progressed the idea of using the Barbour jacket motorcycle suit for his crew during World War Two, Barbour at the time were producing weather proof clothing for the military so the transition from Barbour Jacket to Barbour submarine suit was all the more feasible. History shows how this transition of the Barbour motorcycle jacket benefited the submarine crews in terms of protection and enabled them to continue operations during the worst Atlantic weather. As Barbour have access to the Ministry of defence - MOD - 1940 patent archive details for the Barbour Ursula Jacket the Barbour Ursula Jacket benefits from archive original detail in its production. The details are carefully replicated in term of pocket placement and collar detail, the original Barbour Ursula Jacket allowed for a hood to be used or removed if desired. New Spring 2010 Colours

The first signs of spring 2010 appear to be here with the odd glimmer of a blue sky and going home from work in daylight. The first signs are also there of an inclination to wear the odd piece of summer clothing. Some summer clothing is seen as a one summer use others are seen as long term buys.

The Lacoste polo shirts are the latter, they have been around since 1933. CASTANER ESPADRILLES

New to join our footwear collection this season is a Spanish brand Castaner. Castaner produce the Classic Espadrille, with modern and contemporary design blended with handcrafted production using traditional methods. We have two styles of The Castaner Espadrille available; Alfonso Espadrille and the Forajido Espadrille. Both Espadrilles have the iconic Jute Sole with a thin rubber coating, however have very different styling and design.

Three New Barbour Jackets for summer in the Barbour Clothing Range. There are two versions of the Barbour International Jacket, the Barbour Duralinen International. Duralinen is a fabric that has a vintage feel and look instantly making the Jacket feel as though it has been in your wardrobe for years.

The Barbour Memory Union Jack International Jacket is in a polyester fabric which has the benefit of being waterproof and breathable. The Barbour international badge is on the sleeve on this version rather than the usual position on the pocket also the colours are tonal in grey and black rather than the gold and black. To finish the press stud fastenings are in gloss black.
Inside the lining is a dominant feature, a fully lined mesh fabric in a union jack design hence the name Barbour International Union Jack Jacket.

The third in the trio of Barbour Jackets is the Barbour Dry Fly Jacket. A design based on a style from a sporting catalogue of the Barbour Heritage Archive. Originally a fishing Jacket still retaining its functional details in the form of metal D-Rings and press on fly fur. The fabric on this style has the name Vintage Cotton, the aged feel this cloth sits well with the design the functional drawstrings are a feature as well as the snap fastening pockets which are both key parts of the design. The Barbour Beacon print can be found on the inside lining and the embroidered Barbour brand name is situated on the outside lower pocket, the Barbour Dry Fly Jacket.

The denim looms of Swedish denim manufacturer Nudie Jeans have produced some new styles for the autumn winter 09 collection.

The Easy Emil is available in the Blue Fall wash a regular fitting jean with original wear detail. Which includes the usual five pocket western detail and a button fly in a mid weight denim. A new wash in the ever popular Average Joe is called the Crispy Scraped, based on a jean with approximately two years wear. The Average Joe has a regular thigh width and a slimmer ankle width, as with all of the jeans Nudie produce has the stitch detail to the back pockets. The Average Joe is also available in the regular dry selvage denim. The development of the styles that Nudie Clothing develop are often based on denim styles from previous collections with progressive detailing.

The Nudie Slim Jim Jean has been leaving the factory floor for a number of seasons now and has seen no decline in its popularity. This particular style is a regular slim jean rather than a skinny fit. Is available in two denim finishes, the first a raw unwashed denim and the second a dry black jean offering an alternative to the regular blue denim, both carrying the regular pocketing, zip fly and branded tonal patches.

Nudie Big Bengt offers the denim wearer the option to have a loose fitting thigh jean with a narrow ankle opening, raw and washed options are available in the Nudie Jeans collection available from Henri Beene this autumn.

New to Henri Beene, Gloverall have built up a deserved reputation for making Duffle Coats, the best Duffle Coats in the world.

Still Made in England with the same attention to detail and quality of production.

The word Duffle originally referred to a Heavy Woollen Cloth closely woven for warmth and manufactured in the Belgian Town of Duffel. However over the years it has come to signify a hooded coat with distinctive toggle fastenings which was adopted by the British Navy and used by officers and men of the watch to protect against the biting Atlantic and North Sea winds. The toggles could be unfastened whilst wearing thick gloves, and hoods were carefully designed to fit over peaked Naval caps.

Gloverall still maintains this Naval link through the Iconic ‘Monty’ and its application to the service highlighted by its namesake Field Viscount Montgomery and is worn by Jack Hawkins in the film ‘The Cruel Sea’. The design of the latter is a replica of the original retaining its characteristic rope and wood toggling, webbing stays and two piece hood‘.

We have two styles available the Original Monty with the open pockets and longer length, the second style, the 'Made in England Classic Duffle coat', being a little shorter in length and with flat pockets whilst still retaining the lines of the original, this available in two colours Navy and Khaki.
